How I Got Here...

After earning a B.A. in mathematics and chemistry at Rutgers University in 1988, I completed a Ph.D. in mathematics at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, NYU, and joined Drew 's  Department of Mathematics and Computer Science in 1993.

What I Do Here...

I teach undergraduate mathematics.  I've published papers in applied mathematics, specifically applications of probability and stochastic processes in the modeling of turbulent transport, and co-authored a text on real and complex analysis.  I'm also interested in the philosophy of mathematics, and in particular its relationship to physics, and the philosophy of modeling and simulation in science.  I most recently have been exploring agent-based modeling as a means for investigating problems in various disciplines.
